I'm so happy to see this photo of my sister, Karen, my brother-in-law, Jason, and their daughter, Madeline. They're altogether again after 6 long months while Jason was in Iraq. Look how happy they are! Jason, welcome home and thank you for your service.
It's funny how one person's stress level can affect everyone in the room. This is me trying not to be bothered, though it's a challenge. There's always more work than there is time; yet somehow it always gets done. Plus, I'm looking forward to dinner at The Standard in Nashville tonight with my very good friend, Ryan, and his lady friend.
"When I was a little kid, this is what I thought it would be like to be a grownup."
It's raining in Nashville this morning. Big, heavy drops of water. I got soaked walking into the office. It doesn't rain like this in Arizona.
"So turns out grandparents need naps as much as the kiddo!"
The "most fun thing" I can think of is to sleep in until I wake up naturally. Then sitting on the couch and playing video games for hours. Then riding bikes around town at night with my friends like a teenager!
What's the most fun thing you can think of?
This week at work hasn't been good. I've inherited a situation that I can't do a whole lot to make better. Unfortunately, I've been doing a lot of complaining about it. This morning I woke up with a laundry list of complaints at the top of my mind. Not a great way to start the day.
It's time to turn this mood around and move on. I think one of the best ways to do that is to list things I'm thankful for, because I have so much.

While Chris was in Denver a couple weekends ago on a school trip, I took the opportunity to hang out with a few of my girlfriends.
I'm so thankful for wonderful women in my life!
